Ramat Aviv A was the first neighborhood build north of the Yarkon River after the establishment of  Israel.

Designed in 1951-52 and built between 1952-1958, the neighborhood became set the standard for new neighborhoods throughout the country. The careful planning and unique commitment of the design team created a socially, economically and environmentally sustainable neighborhood, remarkably ahead of its time. We will look at how the neighborhood was designed and built, and review some of the contemporary threats which the neighborhood committee are trying to resist.
